Beretta, The World's Oldest Industrial Dynasaty. Text is in both English and Italian. Bartolomeo Beretta, master gun-barrel maker, was born in Gardone in northern Italy sometime before 1498. From him sprang eleven generations of arms makers, an uninterrupted linear descent from father to son that terminates in the heads of today's great industrial complex, (still situated in Gardone,) the brothers Guiseppe nad Carlo Beretta born respectively in 1906 and 1908. The book recounts that evolution and the role it played in the Venetian Republic, in the Italian Risorgimento and in the two World Wars.
