This historical leporello presents a series of views of Cologne, one of the most important historic cities on the Rhine. The accordion-fold album brings together pictorial representations of the city's architectural landmarks, historic buildings, churches, monuments and urban scenery. Cologne Cathedral, the old town and characteristic views of the Rhine form part of the city's rich visual heritage. Such albums were produced as travel souvenirs and provide an interesting record of the appearance of Cologne around the turn of the twentieth century. An attractive historical document for collectors of old postcards, German city views and Rhine-related travel memorabilia.
