This book describes the lengthy research and experimentation process that led to a sculpture in which two cannonballs were fired at each other so that they collided in mid-air. The author Hans Theys talks to the artist about the years of preparation that preceded the project. Technical, historical and artistic aspects are discussed, such as the construction of cannons, the use of different types of metal, ignition mechanisms and gunpowder.
