La Pedrera de Gaudí offers an in-depth look at Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, one of Antoni Gaudí's most emblematic works in Barcelona. The author analyses the structure, design and architectural significance of the building using illustrations, plans and photographs. This work highlights Gaudí's creative process and how this creation fits within modernism and broader architectural history, giving readers insight into the unique approach to form, function and aesthetics that characterises Gaudí's oeuvre. Joan Bassegoda i Nonell (Barcelona 1930?2012) was a Catalan architect and art and architecture historian, specialising in the study and restoration of modernist architecture, particularly the works of Antoni Gaudí. He was professor and curator of the Reial Càtedra Gaudí at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona and author of numerous books on architecture, notably Gaudí's oeuvre.
