Amor. Revista de Semana Santa is a richly illustrated devotional magazine published in Seville in March 1958 on the occasion of Holy Week. The publication reflects the deep religious, cultural and artistic significance of Semana Santa in Andalusia. Through articles, photographs and devotional texts, the magazine offers readers an insight into the processions, brotherhoods and religious traditions that define Seville's Holy Week. This issue of Amor documents the Semana Santa celebrations in Seville during the late 1950s. It includes written contributions on the history and symbolism of Holy Week, descriptions of the principal processions, and presentations of prominent religious brotherhoods. Visual material plays a central role, with black and white photographs illustrating pasos, sculptures, churches and penitential rituals. The magazine functions both as a devotional object and as a historical document, capturing the atmosphere, aesthetics and religious sentiment of postwar Andalusian Catholic culture.
