In Mediale Bemiddelingen. Over Vincent Dunoyer en anderen (2003) wordt verder ingegaan op de communicatiemodellen die van toepassing zijn binnen actuele kunst en hedendaagse dans. Hedendaags is die kunst die de niet-kunst opzoekt om in het buitenmediale tot ruis van zichzelf te worden. This book examines the interplay between media, embodiment and performance within contemporary art and dance, with a focus on the work of Vincent Dunoyer. The editors compile essays exploring how new media mediate the body, how choreographic presence and absence merge in the 'outside-media', and how visual and performing arts challenge the digital-analogue divide. Through the case of Dunoyer's 'Solos for Others' and other works, the volume shows how mediation becomes part of the artistic material and how the audience's role is transformed by technological and conceptual mediation.
